I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks again for such a great Statement of Advice document. I thought it was excellent. Super easy to follow, well written, and I really liked the checklist at the front. I was also impressed with how comprehensive it was – you had picked up on gaps in my budget that we hadn’t really discussed and provided some great recommendations for improvement too.
I was particularly struck by how accurately you described my motivations and priorities. It’s quite strange reading someone else’s observations of yourself in that way, especially when you have never consciously thought about it before. I sent a couple of paragraphs from the ‘What Matters’ section to a good friend of mine and she replied simply, ‘Wow. He nailed it.’
Finally, I think what I valued most, was that your report didn’t just provide financial advice, it provided reassurance for me. It’s given me more confidence in areas I’ve been uncertain or anxious about, and I feel far more comfortable about the balance between living life now, sharing some blessings with others, and still knowing that I’m being responsible with retirement too.
